DESCRIPTION:Where\n\nKilleen Arts & Activities Center\, 801 N. 4th St. \n\n\nDescription\n\nThe 5th annual Youth Entertainment Showcase in Killeen will be held at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13\, and will feature talent from children ages 5 to 20. The fundraiser will feature a talent showcase\, vendors\, door prizes\, and special appearances for visitors. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Xpreesha Outreach Children’s Program. \n\nPrizes are awarded to first\, second and third place\, but everyone that participates will receive something. The deadline to enter the showcase is Nov. 30. \n\n\n\nTickets can be purchased by calling 980-224-3605 or by going online at https://yes2019outreach.eventbrite.com. The ticket cost is $5 per child (in advance) and $10 for adults. Children age 5 and younger get in free. On Dec. 13 all tickets at the door are $10.

DESCRIPTION:Where\n \n\nCollege Street Down Avenue D to 8th Street in Killeen\, TX\n\n \n\nThe Veterans Day Parade in Killeen will be on Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.\, with line up beginning at 8 a.m. Prior to the parade\, there will be a short ceremony in front of City Hall where the Regional Site Certificate will be presented to Mayor Jose Segarra at 10:45 a.m. The route is about two miles long and will follow from College Street Down Avenue D to 8th Street\, 8th Steet to Sprott Street to Gray Street\, ending at Avenue C. Retired Army Lt. Gen. H.G. “Pete” Taylor will serve as grand marshal. Spectators should arrive early to secure the best parking and viewing spots along the route.

SUMMARY:Salado Springs Beer Festival
DESCRIPTION:Barrow Brewing Company will host the Salado Springs Beer Festival from noon to 8 p.m. June 16 at 100 Royal St\, Salado. \nThis craft beer festival will feature several Central Texas breweries\, including Barrow Brewing Company\, Bare Arms Brewing\, Bluebonnet Beer Company\, Bold Republic Brewing Company\, Brotherwell Brewing\, Rentsch Brewery\, San Gabriel River Brewery\, Texas Beer Company and Whitestone Brewery.\nThe event will also feature food trucks from Hecho en Queso\, Korean Kravings\, Check Point Germany and Kettle Korn. Live music acts will include: The Struggs\, Home Above Band\, The Lost Project\, Wes Perryman & Brian Pounds.  \nThe brewers will be donating a percentage of their sales to Foster Love Bell County\, a 501(c)(3) that supports foster families\, case workers\, and the children in the foster care system. \nAttendees will get access to brewers\, a fest cup for beers\, and the first pour from Barrow Brewing Company included with admission.  \nParking on Royal Street fills up fast but shuttles will be running all day long to additional parking at the Salado Civic Center (601 N. Main Street Salado\, Texas).  Organizers encourage attendees to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.  \nA Designated Driver tent with free refreshments for all the registered DD’s will be available. DD’s can be registered on Eventbrite. \nTickets can be purchased at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/salado-springs-beer-festival-tickets-43395666607?aff=efbeventtix or at the festival gate if not sold out. There are no refunds for this event and it will be held rain or shine.

DESCRIPTION:The annual South By Southwest Conference and Festival in Austin will be going on now through March 18. \nSouth by Southwest (SXSW) is one of the largest creative gatherings in the world\, featuring music and film festivals\, conferences on a wide range of topics and exhibitions. \nFour Killeen area artists will be performing at South by Southwest including: \nZac Wilkerson\, a Killeen-based singer-songwriter\, will perform on Friday at the Saxon Pub\, 1320 S. Lamar Blvd. His music is self-described as a soulful blend of Americana\, soul\, country and rock. That show will begin at 10 p.m. \nLeon O’Neal\, a former Killeen resident who now claims Austin as home\, will perform three DJ sets throughout the week. The first will be tonight at Ironwood Hall\, 505 E. 7th St.\, from 8:20 to 8:40 p.m. The next will be Thursday at noon\, at Barcelona\, 209 E 6th St. The last will be Saturday at Bungalow\, at 92 Rainey St. That will begin at 10:40 p.m \nEimaral Sol is an R&B artist from Killeen\, who describes her music as similar to Erykah Badu\, Jhene Aiko\, Alina Baraz and Jorja Smith. She’ll perform at the Sheraton Backyard\, 702 E. 10th St. That show begins at 8:40 p.m. Saturday. \nKilleen-based gospel/hip-hop artist Calvin Hooper — who goes by the stage name Calvin Martyr — will perform at the Church of Christ\, 1903 University Ave. His set begins at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday.
