Carry the Load Fort Hood Rally
Fort Hood Family and Morale, Recreation and Wellness Center will host Carry the Load – Fort Hood Rally from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. May 24 at 1st Cavalry Division Horse Detachment Headquarters, 69007 Trooper Loop.
Free and open to all, this social gathering will be to join the Carry the Load relay team as they stop at Fort Hood during their tour of the West Coast Route of the 2018 National Relay. The event will include: opening remarks Fort Hood Garrison Commander, Col. Henry C. Perry Jr., Invocation by Chaplain Christopher Archer, Posting of The Colors by First Team Honor Guard, National Anthem sung by Carl Hutchens, Vietnam Veteran, Silver Star and Purple Heart Recipient, comments by Todd Boeding, a Veteran of Carry The Load, comments by Tom Palladino, Executive Director of the Texas Veterans Commission, comments by Lt. Mike Perez of the Bell Country Sheriff Department, 1st Cavalry Division Horse Detachment demonstration, and retiring of The Colors by First Team Honor Guard.
Pizza and beverages will be served by Fort Hood USO, Music by Carl Hutchens
