Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum Gone to Texas Family Day
The Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum will host its Gone to Texas! Family Day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 7 at the museum.
At this month’s Family Day, guests will get to create their own Texas Ranger badge, paint the blooms on a bluebonnet, create a straw rocket, and make cattle brand clay imprints of their favorite brand. Visitors can even try their hand at roping and lasso tricks just like an old cowpoke. The Temple Public Library, Czech Heritage Museum, and the Texas Ranger Museum and Hall of Fame will also be at the museum to share stories about the Lonestar State.
The Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum hosts a Free Family Day event on the first Saturday of each month. Attendance to the event is free. Regular admission charges apply to view the rest of the museum. The museum is located in the Santa Fe Depot at 315 West Avenue B, in downtown Temple. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
